ATTENDEES: Bob Albright, Fred Gischler, Dennis Gongwer, Mark Layman, Owen Johnson, Gene Steineman

The Treasurer, CJ Nemastil, will be unable to attend for a few months due his classes, but he provided the following report. Our current bank account balance is $1,357.93 and, since the last meeting, our club received the following donations.
- $75.00 from the Great Lakes Shrine Clown Units Association (GLSCUA) for Powerpoint help our club provided to them.
- $75.00 from Aladdin for photographing memorabilia.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: (Old Business):
-CLUB SHIRTS AND CAPS: We getting club jackets and agreed that black (with the inverse version of our logo) would be better than white. Prior to the meeting, members looked at jackets from Kris Goodman’s website. We agreed that we need to see more possible jacket styles. Dennis will bring some catalogs to the next meeting.
-MEMBERSHIP: Take your camera to Aladdin functions and club/unit meetings both to get photos (possibly for use I the calendar) and to identify Shriners with photography interests who might like to join our club. Send photos to Frankie at The Lamp and ask her to indicate that they are by the Aladdin Shrine Photography Club.
At the last meeting, Dennis Gongwer passed out very nice laminated cards to the members present at the meeting. Other members got their dues card tonight.

-PHOTOS OF THE POTENTATE:
At any opportunity, club members should take photos of the Potentate and send them to Mark for possible inclusion in the Potentate’s photo collage.
Photos of new building construction and dismantling of the current building: Dennis Gongwer covered the ribbon cutting ceremony on May 19 and submitted photos for inclusion in the Lamp. Dennis has also started taking pictures of the construction.
2016 CALENDAR: The general feeling is that we should do the calendar again since last year was the first time. Getting photos at Aladdin club and unit meetings could provide photos that might enhance calendar sales.
-POTENTATE’S VISIT: The Potentate’s visit will be on the 4th Tuesday in October (10/27). We may need to find a venue for this since we’ll be out of the current Aladdin building by then and the new building probably won’t be ready yet. MCL Cafeteria was suggested.
This evening’s topic: Portraits.
We’ll try to hold the next meeting at the new building, probably outside on the back terrace, so that we can practice outdoor portrait techniques.
