Brenda and I went to Clear Creek Metro Park (click here for map) in northern Hocking County yesterday to do a hike and some photography. Brenda was using a Nikon D80 with a Nikon 18-70mm zoom lens. I was using a Nikon D7100 with a Tamron 18-270mm zoom lens.
The trails were covered in leaves …
and there was lots of color.
The effects of past storms are clear given the condition of some of the trees.
A few flowers were still trying to hang on to the past summer.
After our hike, we drove to the western end of the park to see Written Rock.
Brenda took this shot of me …
taking this shot.
On our way back, we stopped to photograph this huge rock that leans over the road near the eastern end of the park. I worked hard to get a good shot of it with the sun in the background. Brenda took one shot and got this beauty.
This sun lit view of the leaning rock is from the west.
On another visit, I might try to do a “Frame within a Frame” shot using this rock and the sun or the moon (click here to see “Frame within a Frame” post).
